Karbonn has launched two new android handsets dubbed as A1 Star and A5 Star, in budget category below Rs 5,000/-, both handset have Dual SIM Dual Standby system. This handsets are readily available on online shopping sites.

Karbonn A1 Star is 3.5 Inch touch screen handset, it has screen resolution of 320 x 480 pixels and terms of ppi, it is 165 ppi. Karbonn A1 Star packs a 1 GHz processor with 256 MB RAM, it has internal memory of 512 MB which can be further expanded o 32 GB with Micro SD card.
Karbonn A1 Star runs on the Android 4.0 which is Ice Cream Sandwich, it has 3 Mega Pixel camera at the back and on the front it has VGA camera. It has Bluetooth, WiFi and GPRS/EDGE for connectivity. It packs a 1450 mAh battery.

As far as connectivity is concerned, Karbonn A5 star scores more as it supports, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and WiFi Tehthering.
So main difference in Karbonn A1 & A5 is that later runs on older version of Android and supports 3G rest all is same, so if you need 3G go for A5 else A1 is also ok.
